Dhawithra

Dhawithra (Dhawi) is a Law Clerk who supports TNS Lawyers’ practitioners across commercial and business matters, with a particular focus on commercial document drafting, practical outcomes, and proactive risk management. She assists with a broad range of commercial documents including retail and non-retail leases and ancillary leasing documents (such as incentive deeds, side deeds and disclosure statements), as well as business sale agreements, share sale agreements, and shareholder and unitholder agreements.

Dhawi also supports the preparation of services agreements, independent contractor and employment agreements, licensing agreements, settlement deeds, and pre-action correspondence such as letters of demand and without prejudice communications. She contributes to intellectual property work including trade mark applications and related statutory submissions, and assists with litigation preparation and matter support.

Known for being highly organised, detail-oriented and exceptionally strong in legal research and analysis, Dhawi is skilled at identifying legal risks early and helping the team mitigate them efficiently. Dhawi is legally trained and professionally qualified in Sri Lanka, bringing almost 10 years experience as a lawyer. Her background is predominantly in corporate and commercial law, with a dedicated period of litigation practice spanning commercial disputes, money recovery, administrative and employment matters, and fundamental rights proceedings.
